Still is the night,
For the stars wear their veil,
Surely comes the morning but still is the night.
I’ve grown heavy hearted,
As these bones yearn for snow,
The allure of Your love falls on deaf ears.
But, here, I remain.
O Lord, I wonder,
Why You offer no reply,
Before Your crying eyes questions die.
Gladly beyond,
Your eyes keep their silence,
My Beloved is Yours as from the start.
So, here, I remain.
You beckon me nearer,
As You whisper quiet love
Tears of grief and of sorrow we have shared.
O how You see me,
The pursuit of Your heart,
Through tear stained eyes You’re calling me home.
Yet, here, I remain.
